Peruvian Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde visited the Expo Bureau and the Peru Pavilion on 27th, March.
Accompanied by Huang Jianzhi, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Belaunde and his delegation toured the Hall of Exhibition on the first floor of the Expo Mansion.
The delegation was also briefed on Expo planning, traffic coordination plans, operation and other details.
The delegation later entered the Expo site and inspected the Peru Pavilion.
Located in Zone C, the Peru Pavilion will promote the theme of "Food Factory". The pavilion will demonstrate a variety of Peruvian cooking traditions and urban area's change from ancient times to modern times.
The pavilion is made of two essential construction materials in the history of Peru, namely bamboo and earth. The bamboo facade of the Peru Pavilion will allow light to penetrate and light up the interior during the day.
