Brazil will blend art and strength at its Expo 2010 showcase with samba performances and interactive virtual football games, inviting visitors to touch upon the beat and pulse of its cities.
The operators of the pavilion today announced its cultural plans for the event. Visitors will be able to dance samba under the direction of famous Brazilian artists or try to compete with the country's well-known football players in a virtual game.
Staff of the pavilion are still negotiating with the national football team of Brazil to check if there is a possibility that some players may visit the pavilion, and Ronaldo Luiz Nazario De Lima will be the most possible, said Ricardo Schaefer, deputy commissioner general of the pavilion.
He said it was difficult due to the tight agenda of the team. Ronaldo is the ambassador of Vale, one of the sponsors of the pavilion.
There are buffer areas inside the pavilion to avoid overcrowding.
Matches of the upcoming World Cup in South Africa will be broadcast on large screens inside the pavilion, which is divided into a "daily scenes" section, a "happy room" section and "pulsing cities"section.
T-shirts of the Brazil national football team will be sold.
The nation will show off the cultural diversity of Brazilian cities, their dynamism and the ever-present football with the theme "Pulsing Cities: Feel the Life of Brazilian Cities."
The pavilion will highlight the transformation of Brazilian cities in search of urban solutions that result in sustainable development and wellbeing for citizens.
A Brazilian restaurant will serve generous helpings of the nation's culinary delights. The rectangular pavilion is covered by green intersecting wooden lace.
