Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange and heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, accompanied by his spouse Princess M·xima pose for photos at Netherlands Pavilion.
Netherland Pavilion celebrated its National Pavilion Day on 18th, May, which was attended by Crown Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife Princess Maxima of Orange.
Chen Lei, Chinese Water Resources Minister and Zhou Hanmin, deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, also attended the ceremony.
China and Netherlands have been forming better cooperation. The European country has become China's second largest trade partner inside European Union.
The Netherlands Pavilion stands inside Zone C. The pavilion includes an "8" shape street and 20 mini-pavilions scattered along the street. The street, entitled "Happy Street", intending to represent an ideal city, focuses on exhibiting Netherlands' innovations in space, energy and water resources.
Netherlands city Rotterdam also joined the UBPA exhibition with the theme "Watercity," focusing on efforts coping with climate change and sea water invasion into fresh water.
